Everyone loves a good game of capture the flag, but it is not always easy to get enough people to play. Never to fear, Minecraft to the rescue. The Minecraft Capture the Flag is a great server, not to mention, my favorite server. There are many classes and hence it is very hard for a newbie. There are 4-5 free classes and many which cost five bucks a piece.
Let’s quickly overview the free classes:
Heavy – A very strong class. Has full diamond armor, 3 steaks, and a compass. Not the most useful class unless you know what you are doing. The Heavy looks strong, but lacks special abilities. My 4th favorite of the free ones. /heavy –
Soldier – A highly agile AND strong class. A spy. A soldier has full iron armor, 4 steaks, and a compass. For me, the most useful class of the free ones. It is very useful in many maps. /soldier. Soldiers can climb any wall (without a overhang) by right clicking their sword. They also don’t take fall damage or and poison damage from holding the flag. Overall, soldiers don’t take and damage unless someone attacks them, or they suicide. –
Archer – A scope – er. If you have played and first – person shooters, you will favor the archer. The archer has a stone sword, a bow, 128 arrows, a compass, and 4 steaks. The bows are enchanted with Knockback II, so that you can push the opponents backwards. Archers can headshot and insta-kill an enemy if they get shot from 20 or more blocks away. The archer is my 2nd favorite, after the soldier. /archer. –
Medic – The healer or cleric. If you have played Battleheart before, you will have a good idea of what a medic can do. The medic has full gold armor, a gold sword, 6 steaks, 10 cobwebs, and a compass. The medic can heal other players by attacking them with their sword. Medics are immune to fire as well. The medic class is pretty self-explanatory. /medic –
Assassin – I don’t know whether this is supposed to be free or not. You can buy it, but at the same time doing /assassin without buying it makes you an assassin. I’ll just review it now. An assassin has gold boots, a regenerating redstone, 2 regenerating sugar, a iron sword, and a compass. NO MEAT AT ALL. Even then assassins have cool powers. The sugar boosts your speed for a tad bit, and the redstone enables you to one shot kill anyone. However anyone can one shot kill you in the same time. It is my 3rd favorite in the free classes.
